Different Types of Insomnia
Sleeplessness or insomnia can be classified into three types:
1) Transient Insomnia
2) Acute (short term) Insomnia
3) Chronic Insomnia
Insomnia that lasts from few days to few weeks is known as transient insomnia. Most of the people suffer from this type of insomnia. It might be caused by anxiety, stress or jet lag.
Acute insomnia refers to a condition in which a person might not be able to sleep consistently for a period of one to six months.
Insomnia is referred to be chronic, if it occurs for almost all nights in a month or longer.
Researchers say that people suffer from insomnia because they have haphazard lifestyle. In the race for money people have forgotten their health and have kept their life at stake. People even don’t have time for treatment of their problems. Insomnia treatment is delayed and it becomes chronic.
It is always better to get rid of a disease as soon as it is diagnosed. Similarly whenever you feel like you are suffering from insomnia, consult a doctor for insomnia treatment. Thus insomnia treatment should be taken as soon as possible in order to avoid other problems that come along with it.
